About Dr. Frank Velez, MD
Frank Velez, MD, is a general surgeon who earned his medical degree at the Universidad Central del Caribe Medical School in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He completed his residency training in general surgery at the University of South Florida Morsani School of Medicine in Tampa, Florida. Since 2019, Dr Velez has been in private practice serving the Rio Grande Valley, TX. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed print and video publications, abstracts and presentations. He also has extensive research experience. Dr Velez speaks English and Spanish and provides whole-person care to his patients, treating body, mind and spirit. As a General Surgeon, my care philosophy is based on providing the highest quality of care to my patients.
