Emergency situation..wife scared and unable to supply precise info and DR W kind of gruff but the time he spent with me was 'real' in that he explained in very few words that my husband was in bad shape. I FAR PREFER that than someone sugar coating hubbie's condition. I was better prepared for road ahead. Thank you Dr. W., Janice Carlson
Dr Woolverton is a Wonderful Doctor. He has provided both myself and my husband with Excellent ongoing Care. He really takes a proactive approach + Always listens to our concerns. I would give him a zero if I could!!!! My father is at SMH Venice and he was making his rounds at the hospital. I was on speaker and although I knew he was a cardiologist, I was trying to explain my father's issue and to kindly request something entirely different. Well he decided to walk out of my father's room mid conversation because apparently listening to a patient's daughter if it doesn't pertain to his speciality is above his pay grade!!!!!! What happened to good bedside manner and maybe a "hey, this isn't in my wheelhouse but let's see if we can get your father to the right doctor?". Or maybe just a "I'm sorry, I can't help you with this?" But to walk out mid sentence!!!!?????? What a jerk!!!!!!
The entire experience was very pleasant. Dr. Woolverton took time to listen and explain all of my questions and concerns. But the whole process becomes very unpleasant when it comes to the administration of Shorepoint Health. Trying to contact anyone by phone or computer has been impossible. Over 1/2 hr. on hold only to cutoff and computer program that doesn't work. I'm being treated, and have been for the last 12yrs. through Worker's compensation and now I have received a bill that hadn't happened in the past. And now we can not communicate with anyone in the billing area. I hope someone who may read this message can help me to get this resolved. Thanks
Easy check in and no long wait to see Doctor. Pleasant waiting room. Dr Wolverton is very professional and down to earth. Goes over medical records and answers questions clearly. Very happy with him and the staff.
