NCH Rooney Heart Institute: Luis Paz Rios, MD

My initial meeting with Dr. Luis Paz was a very satisfying experience; explaining the details of the TAVR procedure I was going have. he answered every question I had. He told me things I should be aware of without having to ask, which put my mind at ease and totally convinced me if I had five other cardiologists to choose from it would not have mattered because he would always be the best choice. Because of his professionalism, caring way, and not only being a great cardiologist but also a great person who shows he really care cares about his patients. I was totally convinced God put me in the hands of the BEST, Thank you! By the way, I'm currently 81 years old and because of Dr. Paz I hope to be around along time. ( no matter what my wife thinks LOL) No matter how far you have to travel, I highly recommend him for any cardiology needs. He is the BEST!

Dr Paz is an incredible Cardiologist. He is extremely knowledgeable, caring and experienced. He helped save my life when I had no pulse for 4 minutes and continues to keep me up-and-running beautifully. He constantly stays in touch and continues monitoring my heart and medications. I am now a happy and healthier 85 year old and so grateful that Dr Paz showed up in my life. 5+++ Stars

I hadn't played competitive softball in about 2 years. Dr. Paz performed a heart valve replacement in Dec. 2024. Now, I'm playing competitive softball again, and have been since June. The heart valve replacement has been a complete success. I would recommend Dr. Paz-Rios to anyone. Daniel Fischer

The Rooney Heart institute has the finest surgeons. This year back in March I was having signs of a heart attack, went to my doctor and he decided to called the ambulance to take me to the NCH down town Naples. I was admitted, the surgeon Paz Rios performed a procedure in my heart widomaker was 99% blocked. I was fully awake, painless. The procedure was successful. Thank God for the Rooney heart institute for giving me a second chance to live and to be with my wife and my daughter.
