Dr Gelinas had to perform. TEE on me last Tuesday. Never meet him prior to This. His bedside manor was very professional yet warm in how he explained every detail of the procedure To me. He answered all my questions And did what I wished by making sure I was out before he put mouthpiece and/or tubes down my throat. He is a Gentle and caring doctor. I didn't even have a sore throat! I would recommend him and have already. No rushed effort on his part.
Dr. Gelinas explained my condition and test results so that it was very easy for me to understand and make good decisions on how to move forward so that I have the very best care. A very caring doctor who discussed all my options and recommended treatments to improve the quality of my life. Thank you Dr. Gelinas.
My wife went in a few weeks ago for her first visit to a cardiologist. Her followup visit with Dr. Gelinas -- to review some test results -- was yesterday. On a calcium test she scored a "2". That's on a scale that tops out at 400. On the basis of that alone he put her on a strong statin. Statins are nasty things, very popular but with a lot of side effects. He did not explain why it was necessary... ESPECIALLY since he did not review ANY of her bloodwork -- tests that indicated very healthy scores in HDL, LDL and A1C. It is our opinion that the statin rx was not well considered and not only unnecessary but potentially dangerous. This will be our last visit to Dr. Gelinas.
Proffesional, caring, down to earth bedside manner, took the time to address my concerns without making me feel rushed.
