NCH Rooney Heart Institute

So we went to Dr Edward Schmukler a week ago, he was great, no complaints there. However we are still waiting for some to call to set up a nuclear stress test appointment(this in itself is causing stress). Seriously. I called twice and was told someone would get in touch with us. You can't call the individual doctors office, it's a central number.

Even though my over 85 year old mother-in-law had the last appointment of the day for an echocardiogram, there was no one at either reception desk soon after she went back. Within 20 minutes, my husband and I were the only ones in the waiting area, and employees were all leaving. As a health care provider in practice for over thirty years, no one left the reception desk in my office until the last patient left the office. I felt very uncomfortable being left all alone. I had to stop an exiting employee to inquire that our mom was okay in the back. If we would have been told the staff were leaving and given an update on our mom's procedure that would have been a nice courtesy. Thank you reading this concern.

Exceptional Caring and efficient Institute ... my experience with Dr. Howard, Dr. Flynn with their office/surgical staff. Very professional, yet personable and caring -- felt involved and educated on what my medical needs were and how they were to be handled. A model for what humanistic medical care should be. A true asset for SWFL medical care.

Dr. Santos wanted me to have a CTA. I left 3 messages on the voicemail three (3) different days as the phones were never answered. It has been a month and I am still waiting for a call back. The level of care in the scheduling department is mind blowing. Shame on you for allowing such lapse in returning calls.

Excellent experience with Dr.CUBEDDU and his staff at NCH. Replaced my aortic valve. I feel better now than I have in years. Home the following day. Didn't miss a beat. Highly recommend.
