Dr. Vittal Hejjaji is a board-certified cardiologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Hejjaji earned his medical degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences/Rajarajeswari Medical College in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He completed his residency training at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, where he earned the Best Research Award and the Dr. C.J. Carpenter Award for Best Graduating Resident. Following his residency, he worked on NIH-funded cardiovascular outcomes research and completed his clinical cardiology fellowship training at the University of Missouri-Kansas City/Saint Luke's Mid-America Heart Institute, where he served as Chief Cardiovascular Disease Fellow.
