Dr. Jorge Fuentes is an interventional and general cardiologist with advanced training in structural heart disease at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University, New York. Dr. Fuentes is Cuban-American and was raised in Miami, FL. He earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and later completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Florida, where he was Chief Resident. He completed his cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology fellowship at Boston University Medical Center.

This was my first visit to this office. Parking was convenient. The staff from the front desk to the checkout personnel were very professional. The doctor's assistant was pleasant and knowledgeable. The doctor was exceptional! His explanations were clear, and he insured that I understood everything. A plus worth mentioning is that I was seen at the time of my appointment!
First time visit with Dr Fuentes. I was impressed that he thoroughly went thru my medical records during the visit so that he was up to date on my medical issues. He was very attentive and listened to my medical concern. I agreed with his prognosis and the treatment he prescribed. I highly recommend Dr Fuentes and will continue treatment with him.

I am a 71 y o retired Miami Dade teacher who has always been involved, active and energetic. I had decided to have a reevaluation of an aortal valve issue . How lucky to have been seen by Dr. Fuentes. He was so thorough: he asked about previous history since my mitral valve replacement 7 years ago (even the size of the bovine valve!); he asked about symptoms and problems and listened to the heart.....Dr Fuentes took his time explaining after seeing the results of the echocardiogram. I feel so blessed to have met and found such a knowledgeable, experienced cardiologist/interventionist. I know I am good hands.
Dr. Fuentes, his assistants and staff, were all very professional, thorough and compassionate. Quality care with a great "bedside manner"!
