About Dr. Claudia Agustina Martinez Bermudez, MD
Dr Claudia Martinez is a Professor of Clinical Medicine, Interventional Cardiologist in the Department of Medicine, Cardiovascular Division at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. She is a physician- scientist, and the PI of several ongoing NIH studies examining cardiovascular disease in a diverse group of patients with HIV. Dr Martinez has established a strong network of collaboration locally in UM and Nationally through her active role as adjudicator of clinical events in CNICS and MWCCS. She is also the Miami Co-PI in the Hispanics Community Health Study. She is also the recipient of the prestigious NIH/ DP2 Award to examine the intersection of cannabis- HIV and cardiovascular risk.

Excellent Cardiologist! Dr. Martinez has the best bedside manners. Due to her busy schedule she is quick, but straight to the point. Great listener and multitasker. She doesn't miss anything and explain everything in an understandable matter. Goes out of her way to recommend non traditional approaches to maintain my health very controlled and not to progress. She also goes out of her way reading notes and studies from my others doctors at UM, to integrate my other conditions into my patient care. I feel very well cared and safe.
