Patient
Update: 09/5/25 Today I had an appointment with Dr. Paniagua to go over the results of my tests last week. Everything was fine so I am relieved. Dr. P is an amazing doctor because of his knowledge, kindness, great sense of humor, and the best bedside manner around. I feel so lucky to have him as my cardiologist. I also wanted to give kudos to Enrique in the front office. He is always personable, efficient, and helpful with scheduling your next appointments. He also is good about answering questions and is patient with the patients. It's always nice to see him. I will be back in December for follow up. UPDATE: 05/29/25 At my last 3 appointments, Dr. K. Sanku has been assisting Dr. Paniagua with my follow-up. He does a thorough job of explaining the test results and puts me at ease. I appreciate him and his vast knowledge of cardiology. When I ask a question, he always has the answer to my satisfaction. He is definitely an asset to this practice. As usual, Dr. Paniagua is outstanding with his patients. He is one of the top cardiologists and well-respected. 8 months ago: As part of my preventative healthcare maintenance this year, my primary care doctor has been referring me to specialists. My doctor highly recommended me to Dr. David Paniagua here at Mount Sinai for a routine exam. I was very impressed with Dr. Paniagua because he is one of those rare doctors who listens to you carefully, asks questions, and then explains the treatment plan to you. Not only that, he also has a great personality and loves music. He knows how to approach a patient who may be very nervous about the outcome of the visit and puts you at ease. I have done all the tests and have my follow-up visit this coming week with him. Dr. Paniagua is located on the 2nd floor in the Heart Institute building. It was not easy for me to get to it from the parking garage because there is construction going on, and there are no signs letting a patient know where they are supposed to go! I got lost, and the employees that I asked directions of didn't know how to get to his office either. It was pouring cats and dogs that day, and I had a long way to walk in the sudden storm to find his office. I didn't have an umbrella with me either. I called his office to explain why I'm late and she couldn't explain to me how to get there. Total guesswork on my part. When I got there 15 minutes late, I received a snide remark by the receptionist, which I did not appreciate. Hence, I was not able to give a 5 star review.
