Yesterday I had an appt with Dr. Luis Urdaneta, who is a Rheumatologist at Miami Shores Medical Group. I have been having pain with moving my right pointer finger as well as dropping things. He examined it and diagnosed it. I received an injection into the knuckle with instructions for daily exercises and information about why it's been hurting for so long. I appreciate Dr. Urdaneta's thorough explanation, caring, and great bedside manner. It is so nice to have a doctor who listens to the patient and takes time to explain everything. This medical group also includes 2 other doctors, who specialize in cardiology and endocrinologist. It is a well-rounded group of specialists. The staff were friendly, professional, and caring. They are organized and know what they are doing. The office is very nice, clean, professional, and comfortable. Parking is a few steps away in the back of the building. It is a convenient location in Miami Shores.

Having Dr. Apaza-Concha as my endocrinologist came as a blessing in disguise! When my nephrologist insisted on my seeing an endocrinologist, it was a major mission to get an appointment. I was amazed that I was able to get an appointment as a new patient with Dr. Apaza. As a diabetic, being under her care has been a game changer in my life. I followed her instructions to the T, which brought me from glucose toxicity to stable A1C levels. She is an extremely caring physician, who takes her time during consultations. Her assistant Zully is wonderful and quickly responds via email. I couldn't imagine having a better endocrinologist!

My experience with Dr. Luis Arias Urdaneta was nothing short of life-changing. I initially visited the office due to severe back pain--pain that seemed to radiate everywhere. While the team at Miami Shores Medical Group addressed my immediate concerns, Dr. Arias Urdaneta went above and beyond, uncovering issues I didn't even know I had. Simply by observing me, he suggested I get my eyes checked for Uveitis. Sure enough, this diagnosis was the key to addressing my ongoing eye condition and balance issues, which had puzzled me for years. Thanks to his insight, I was able to resolve the problem within five months. I can see clear as a bell. He didn't stop there. Noticing a rash on my legs, he recommended I see a dermatologist for a possible vascular disease. Once again, his clinical instincts were spot on, leading to a diagnosis that could have been missed elsewhere. What I later learned about Dr. Arias Urdaneta only deepened my respect for him--he completed his fellowship in rheumatology at Harvard's prestigious Massachusetts General Hospital. I hadn't read his impressive bio before my visit, but his expertise quickly became apparent. Now that I've tackled several major health issues with his guidance, I'm looking forward to continuing my journey toward recovery under his care, addressing my back and body pain further. Special thanks to Paulia Campos, PAC, who compassionately delivered difficult news and supported me every step of the way. If you're struggling with complex medical issues, unsure where to start, and need someone who will truly listen and guide you toward answers, I highly recommend Dr. Arias Urdaneta and his team. They didn't just help me--they saved my eyesight, restored my ability to drive, and gave me hope for continued progress. This was truly one of the best medical experiences of my life.
