Dr. Acosta is absolutely amazing. His knowledge in the medical field spreads beyond his specialty. Any other health issues you might have unrelated to cardiology, he is listening to you and is able to give you an overview of your whole health situation, followed by proper recommendations. He is kind and he took all the time to look over tests that we had done with other doctors and to explain in detail the tests he performed in the office that day. Who does that nowadays? With Dr. Acosta we felt heard. I mean ... I wish I could give 10 stars. I can't recommend enough.

Dr. Acosta is an excellent doctor, thorough, informative and compassionate. However his office staff leaves a lot to be desired. The are chaotic, disorganized and unprofessional. Failing to call and confirm appointments, and I drove seventeen miles to get there and had to reschedule and turn around and go home. Failing to make the appointment with the pacemaker technician and then expecting me to sit there while the technician drives from somewhere in Miami and adds me to his schedule. This is the second time this has happened. Stating they notified me of an appointment change, but I get my appointment cards at the desk and I certainly didn't have one. It took me 45 minutes to fax some important records to Dr Acosta and I finally called and asked if I had the correct fax number and if it was working. I heard the clerk pushing some buttons in the background and finally I was able to fax my papers thru so evidently she must have had the fax off. I also gave them certain papers and asked them to scan them in my record for the doctor but when he examined me he had no idea what I was talking about and thank goodness I brought the information with me to show him. I really like this doctor but because of his bungling staff, I'm considering changing services.

Dr. Acosta is a brilliant well-rounded Doctor. He gives you a precise diagnosis with key steps/medications/lifestyle changes to solve issues at the root. I am extremely thankful to have him as my doctor.

My mother was his patient for over 10 years, she always complained that he didn't care for calling her or follow up with her, which let us searching for another primary doctor since she became very ill. She recently died and while she was with bronco pneumonia at Mount Sinai Dr. Acosta and Dr. Vivas went to the floor to do their rounds and crying I asked them to go see and help my mother and I insisted but none of them did it. These doctors seems nice at their office but the true is that they care only while you pay a visit. My mother didn't deserve this treatment, she was always loyal to him even if he didn't deserve it. Beside are not Doctors supposed to be compassionate and care for peope in need? I have so much to say about his behavior towards my Mother. I don't think he deserves any start at all. I hope this helps other people to select a true compassionate Doctor as it should be.
