I was previously a patient of another office that the doctor retired (melbay healthcare) and they forwarded me to this office. This office assumed my choice of going to them so I figured I would try it. Ever since, this office has been a lot different to deal with. Recently I had very basic and routine blood work (employer routine work, not something for any concerns) and this office ordered it and it was completed by a local testing facility. This office then told me to come in for follow-up and review of the results. I went in for this appointment and was there with the staff member for less than 60 seconds and was sent on my way with a $70 visit charge. Melbay DID NOT ever do this and it was the very same routine wellness exam work that I'd been doing for years the difference is this office is entirely focused on money and not the patient experience. I called the billing dept and talked about this. They told me they'll "request from CFO to negate it", which obviously no one will do, especially in that impersonal manner. 2 or 3 weeks later I receive a letter in the mail which was a print out of a failed attempt at emailing me where Sandra Betts attempted sending an email to me and BCCed presumably her boss, with the wrong email address and addressing me by the wrong name. In the email she basically tells me factually untrue statements such as I had received a prior "write off" of charges, ones I've not been made aware of or even why as I've recently started going there and have not had anything but wellness exams for my employer at the time. The email was very condescending and the rest basically just threatened collections for $70. I will be avoiding this office at all costs as, again, this office does not care about their patients but only money.

The staff can be inappropriate and unprofessional, to say the least. Appointments are botched and billing is confused. I hold my integrity at a higher value than this. I do not appreciate the administration's behavior or conversation. I will not go back to Quality Medical Care for care. I was scheduled for an appointment, when Dr. Thareja was out of the country, so I had to reschedule. You would think the administration would have let me know! I even received a reminder phone call to confirm my appointment. For what? Only to be turned away. Be cautious of billing. I was told they couldn't do refunds, just credits, but found out they can do a refund because I was later granted a refund. I was billed incorrectly multiple times, and practically yelled at. When I left the office, my ear hurt. It was borderline abusive treatment. My last visit at QMC was with Dr. Thareja, which was unnecessary. He should not have scheduled me. During the visit, he came in the room still masacating. I guess from a late snack or meal. Gross! Sandra Betts, the office manager informed me QMC will not be scheduling me again. Total run around! I do not trust ANY of them. They waste time and energy. Questions should be answered without fuss. If I ask for information, I should be given any and all of my information, if not more.

If I could give lower than one star I would. I saw Dr. Velasco a handful of times due to medication complications. During my first appointment, I was placed a couple doors across from the scale and the nurses station. I was in the room about 45 min. During this time the door was fully shut and I could hear Dr Velasco and several women at the counter about a patient calling in needing refills for a medication. Very loudly they all talked horribly about her and he doesn't know where she's getting the meds because it's not from him and must be the streets. This went on for about 20 minutes to include the patient first and last name to whom I will be reaching out to, to make aware of your ethical standards. Then you tell me IM not allowed to use you as my Dr any longer. This has caused me to run out of medications if not taken, can lead to severe complications to include death. You shouldn't be a Dr. Do not go here.

I have never been more hurt and surprised at what has happened to me at this facility i am 71s old and never have i been so disrespected with a nurse called SAM and another person which they didn't give their name that I can remember on Dr Ts side the cardiologist. SAM was rude and short with me one day over my short term disability forms. I told Heather the PA who I have been seeing for years. I got all my test back from the cardiologist so Heather was going over them I needed 2 release forms to have procedures done I got one but not the other I call Dr Ts office and that's when this person got on the phone and told me she was standing outside the door listening to mine and heathers conversation (which is a HIPPA violation and proceded to call me a LIAR and told me to SHUTUP and all I wanted to to do is set appt with the cardiologist. IF THERE IS ANY ATTORNEYS THAT HAS READ MY REVIEW AND IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO PLEADE LET ME KNOW.

I was supposed to have a follow up today regarding my legs. Dr. Velasco contacted me but was completely unprepared for the appointment. I am a cash pay patient. Not a single person contacted me from the office to say they did not received documents for my one ultrasound. The doctor told me there patient portal doesn't work so he did not get the bloodwork I submitted to him via the messaging section of the portal. I cannot walk without significant pain all day. This follow-up appointment was very important to find out where we go from here but don't you worry Compression socks will help your swelling. Never mind the fact I CANNOT WALK without serious issues.
