This business, that's all it is, is more interested in making money than seeing patients. All tests are done by this company only and no one sees the Dr. Until they have under gone several in house tests to milk the patient and insurance company. You cannot get test results from them until all tests are done and only by seeing the Dr. After All tests have been completed. This process can take 3 to 6 months. After I had 3 of 4 tests done, I canceled the 4th test. My Dr. Appointment was the following week. When I arrived for the appointment I was told the Dr. Appointment was canceled because I didn't get the 4th test. Th offi ce never notified me of the office visit cancelization until I arrived for the apointment. My Husband had the same experience. He went to this Dr. After having cardiac surgery 3 months prior up north. This office insisted on repeating all the tests he had just had done in Pennsylvania before the Dr. Would see him.
Drove a friend here very early for an appointment that was a referral from her family doctor. It was the first appointment of the day. She and I went in. We both complied, polite and wearing mask. While she was getting registered the lady at the desk told my friend that I couldn't be in the building because I wasn't a patient. I didn't hear it because the tv in the lobby was very loud so my friend explained to me what she has said. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. This is a heart appointment. Have compassion, your patients coming here; they need their friends, family and loved ones. Are you kidding me? Not to mention I drove her here, 45 minutes and what would you have me do? It is Florida, sit in the hot sun, or run the car the entire time? Thank goodness the hospital doesn't share your same lack of compassion for their patients and tell them"well I know you brought your mom, friend, sister, brother, dad etc here but could you go away and be outside because you're not a patient here!! I put a call into the Board of Cardiology of Lake Wales. Let's see if anyone cares enough to call back. Update it is 10:30 and the appointment was 8am I'm still waiting on the friend in the car. Wow!! Terrible lack of compassion, communication and bedside manner from this establishment. I've seen more than a dozen patients come and go. As well as pharmacy reps, and other medical personnel. Going on 3 hours for a first appointment. They didn't tell her to be prepared to be here all morning, or half the day. Another reason to bring a friend or family member if your going to put her through testing. What terrible lack of communication!! Update8/3/2021 Lake Wales Board of Cardiology NEVER even had the courtesy to return my call. Time to go over them I guess. This is the new way of healthcare people, force you to take medication and vaccines you don't want in your body and treat you like dirt irregardless. What happen to it being our decision. Thank goodness my friends doctor referred her to a different Cardiologist. Don't go here, they don't care about what you think or know about your body, (you're too stupid to make informed decisions about yourself) or the family that brings you!!
When I saw all the bad review I got nervous, but I was pleasantly surprised how nice everyone was! The check-in receptionist was so nice she even helped me fill out one of the forms. She and the checkout receptionist investigated a problem with my insurance and got it all cleared up very quickly. The intake technician who also did my EKG was nice and very solicitous. I'd met Doctor Nunez previously at the hospital and he's the same nice, friendly, thorough, reasonable man that he was at the hospital. The checkout receptionist was very sweet. This place is great!!
I've called for months after my Dr sent referral and no call back. As a previous patient there after 1 month they sent a letter stating I missed an appointment so I called again left message 8 saying I would pay fee but I needed to be seen and again no call back. When called to cancel my appointment of course no one answers or obviously doesn't check messages. After months of calling and no return calls I'll find somewhere else. Not sure how he sees any patients because his staff never returns call
