AdventHealth Medical Group Pediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiology at Lake Mary

Dr. Zussman was so kind and thorough for all of my son's visits. I'd recommend him to anyone needing a cardiologist for their child and I'm grateful for the treatment he gave us. Only reason for leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the front desk lady to the outermost right desk. This morning while my family and I were waiting to be called for my son's appointment, my kids were admiring and touching the Christmas tree and decorations that the office put out. The lady YELLED from across the room rudely at my kids to stop touching it so they don't make it fall over. I totally understand to not let my kids make a mess in a medical office, but this is a pediatric office and if there are shiny decorations kids are going to want to look and touch. Why put a huge decoration in front of little kids if you're going to yell at them? Addressing patients like that isn't acceptable and I felt very disappointed because my daughter got uncomfortable and started crying as she didn't understand why someone was yelling at us. She could have walked over and politely told me to be careful, but instead she yelled at us! In the past this same lady has asked me if my kids are "bad" when I inquired if children are allowed in the office. Overall I don't think she is professional enough to be in the front as a receptionist especially for a Pediatric office where there are families and children every day i'm sure. Otherwise I loved this office mainly because of Dr. Zussman.

Dr Zussman has been my daughter's cardiologist since birth. She is now almost 7 years old. I cannot say enough good things about him, Marybeth, and his staff. We have seen the same medical assistants since my daughter was born as well. Any concerns or questions are immediately explained in detail. I truly feel my daughter is in good hands with this practice. We have been through quite a bit with her with several surgeries, caths, exams, and pacemaker checks and always feel we are given the utmost care.

If I could give 0 stars I would. After taking my son and daughter for routine EKG checks I was resulted in an astronomical bill. Talked into doing a genetic testing consult and being told there would be no charge, I get an additional $500 bill on top of the rest. After 6 months of leaving messages and waiting on call backs NOTHING! I'm currently holding a bill that I just got for the services they told me would not be chargeable. Beware and ask for print out of all charges before proceeding with anything.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!!! The young lady at the front desk with braids very unprofessional! After being inconvenienced by showing up for an appointment that was cancelled due to them being overbooked, she refused to even offer me some type of documentation saying my appointment was canceled. I asked to speak with management, you guessed it, no one available. When I tried to offer a bit of advice about accommodating customers when you're unable to offer what they're asking (calmly and with a nice tone) she told me "DONT TELL HER HOW TO DO HER JOB). I asked for corporate, of course, no one knew number to corporate so here I am voicing my experience on Google in hopes of someone scheduling the young lady at the front desk for cardiology pediatric for some type of customer service training. (She refused to give me her name and told me she wasn't going to deal with this today before walking off) Finally, I'm still sitting here in the parking lot, no documentation for my rescheduled visit and my child has missed school and important testing for nothing with an UNEXCUSED absence! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE AT ALL! UNPROFESSIONAL!
