Kathy Rasmussen, MD, is a highly experienced pediatrician, internist and obesity medicine physician who completed her residency training at Tufts University/Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. She has more than a decade of experience in hospital settings and served on the faculty of the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston between 2003 and 2016. She has also served as an attending physician and Interim Medical Director of the Comprehensive Adult Weight Management Program at Baystate Medical Center, and as Medical Director of the Baystate Mason Square Neighborhood Health Center. She has research interests in weight management and obesity prevention, and she is a bilingual provider with fluency in both English and Spanish.

Made sure after three years of being with a company that was in my insurance companies network and were unable to provide me with bilateral below knee prosthetics that didn't cause severe pain. She took the time to supply my insurance company the information that was needed for me to go out of my insurance companies network to Prosthetic and Orthotics and I am now able to walk!!
