Mr. Aquiles Alvarez

If I could give zero stars I would. Do not go to Dr Aquiles Alvarez. Extremely rude aggressive and disrespectful Doctor. After 10 years going to him I'm shocked how condescending and money hungry he is. Do not go to him or take your loved ones to him. Doctor Aquiles Alvarez is rude, doesn't listen to his patients, and only prescribes things that make him a profit- not what the patient needs. He preys on elderly people who trust him. This man should have his license taken from him he is a disgrace to doctors. His medical staff is equally awful- making everything more difficult than it needs to be.

My review is not a good one. This place, Dr, nurses and staff are racist. My father in law was seeing Dr Alvarez for 2 years until this Dr made a referral without letting us know. What happened was that my father in law was in lots of pain due to cancer so in one of the visits he was screaming of so much pain that one of the nurses said she was afraid of him. How unprofessional! So without letting us know they referred him to another office with another Dr. I do not recommend office nor Dr, they were racist towards my father in law and the family because they are not Americans nor Spanish. As a Dr, nurse and staff member they have a responsibility to be professional and care about the patient

Mr. Alvarez, because I wouldn't call him Dr, is incompetent. My father was going to him for two years complaining about the same issue and instead of listening to the problem or taking the steps to get him properly tested , he would suggest "B12" shots for "energy" ensuring him that he was fine and that was all he needed . Our family saw my dad slowly declining and we knew he wasn't okay . We decided to make an appointment with another physician and in ONE trip to another Doctor confirmed that my father had stage 3 cancer .We are now dealing with repocussions we could have dealt with 2 YEARS ago had he had the proper care . He even had a sleep apnea test done and it's been over 6 months with no results ! We tried to get all the medical documents from that office and that has been a hassle . Do NOT go to him or that office !

Doctor Aquiles Alvarez was on the phone the entire time he called me in the office. He was apparently making plans in Spanish over the phone. He was on the phone for at least 15 minutes. At the end (at the end of me waiting 15 mins while he was on the phone) he just told me results came back fine and that was it. I had more question but couldn't ask because he was on the phone! He continued to talk on the phone as I excited the office. I wanted to cry from the anger. I was waiting a long time and was with my twin daughters. Oh and during the wait one of my daughters jumped out the stroller and hurt herself bad and he stopped talking to tell me that it's ok because kids are made out of rubber (he said all this in Spanish). I will never again want to be seen by Dr. Alvarez ever again.
