Dr. Atul Madan, MD

Do not recommend. His demeanor was condescending and rude. During the hospital visit, the provider demonstrated poor bedside manner and was notably dismissive toward both of my parents. Additionally, he left the patient's room without performing an assessment. Despite this, a progress note was later documented that included an assessment--such as heart sounds--that was never completed. There was also no discussion with the patient or family at the bedside. Yet since he wrote a progress note, he'll get paid for it, even though he literally did nothing. Do better Dr. Madan, or leave the profession. I will be reporting this through the appropriate channels.

Excellent physician. Dr Madan is so clinically astute and dedicated. He really listens to the patient and is very empathetic. He was the first to make a diagnosis. My father is 83 and was recently hospitalized and he came to see him in the hospital, diagnosed his atrial fibrillation but also realized with all of the recommended testing his nephropathy may worsen and we were able to prevent a complication. As a physician I feel so reassured knowing Dr Madan and the entire team are caring for him. Would recommend him without hesitation.

I've been seeing Dr. Madan for a few years now, I find that he is an excellent Cardiologist, he is very smart, knows exactly how to help me, and he takes his time and answers all my questions. His office is run very smoothly, the front desk receptionists to the nurses, all are so kind. I feel very confident in my treatment and care here, and I will stay with Dr. Madan as long as possible.

Dr. Atul saw my mother in the hospital and when she tried to talk to him, he refused to answer her questions... and didn't even come near her to treat or examine her! Also, when she asked if she could go home soon, he said, "I don't know anything. It's up to everyone else." - and then he walked out of the room without another word to her. If her cardiologist doesn't know anything (and obviously doesn't care to find out), why is he treating anyone? He was arrogant and uncaring, and not anyone I would want to treat my family members.
