First Coast Cardiovascular Institute: Abdel Ghani M. Anabtawi, MD

I was referred to Dr. Anabtawi by my primary physician/nurse practitioner. At my first appointment, I was enrolled into the BP clinic and given a BP unit. I also had a heart monitor placed, and eventually an echocardiogram was performed. The staff were pleasant and professional. Dr. Anabtawi has a very professional and compassionate bedside manner. He listens and wants to ensure everything is performed for a clear and concise diagnosis. I highly recommend Dr. Anabtawi without any hesitation!

I had a very good first time visit with the doctor. Very kind and friendly also caring about my needs. Staff was very kind and helpful. They were all very professional, I look forward to having a continued patient and doctor care

My appointment was at 3:00pm I got there at 2:35pm just in case it was anything I needed to do as a new patient. I was not called to be seen until almost 3:45pm! Granted the lobby was filled but there were multiple people who came in after I did and got called prior. Once I was called to the back the initial nurse was very kind and friendly and answered any questions that I had. The doctor himself was nice but not all that attentive. When he came in he was trying to shake my hand. Which was no issue but when he walked in i was actively rubbing germx on my hands as I had just left the bathroom. He took it as i didnt want to shake his hand which was not true my hands were just wet. He asked the routine questions but didn't bother to examine me at all or look in my direction when I was trying to explain the areas of pain. He just quickly recommended a process that wasn't going to try to assist with the issue im expressing is an urgent matter. It was almost like he wasn't listening and actively trying to this fix this issue that I keep advising is progressively getting worst and more serious daily. What he recommended wouldn't be something he could handle or view for another 3 months! He then said he would prescribe me a medication that he would fill by the time I left. Which did not happen. I was calling my pharmacy to check on it and it was not filled. There office does not have a direct number to reach their front desk only a call center number where you have to leave a voicemail which is extremely annoying when you have an urgent matter. I felt like it was rushed and not taken seriously at all. I don't think I will be returning. The medication given still hasn't helped.

Professional and thorough first impression as well as follow up with Dr. Abdel Ghani Anabtawi. I'm very pleased with level of care and bedside manner and communication as a first time patient with cardiologists.
