Dr.Bibevski saved my daughter's life! My daughter was born in October and ended up having to stay in the NICU for about a month because of her heart condition. She had "coarctation of aorta" and a large PDA. He and his team didn't want to perform surgery if they didn't need to because my daughter was so small, so they gave her ibuprofen to see if it would help the PDA to start closing. My daughter ended up doing 3 rounds of that and unfortunately her PDA did not close. She then had a minor procedure done for measurements to see what size device would be needed to assist with closing her PDA. The device that they had in their facility was too big for my daughter, and they would have to order the proper size device which could've taken a couple weeks. This was a blessing in disguise. An opening for surgery came about the very next week. My daughter recovered extremely well and quickly from such a major surgery and is doing amazing! She was taking her bottle two days after! Her scar is very thin and barely visible, blending in with her skin tone. She was discharged just in time for the holidays. The whole team was very nice and respectful. My son Diego was born on March 15th and after staying in the Palm West Hospital NICU for 10 days with no improvement, he was finally diagnosed with a coarctation of the aorta, one of the many congenital heart diseases. I cannot deny that I felt like I was dying and that I was terribly afraid for my child's life. But angels exist and live on earth disguised as humans, and these angels for me were the wonderful team that cared for my child from the moment he was transferred to the Joe DiMaggio Hospital, during his stay in the ICU and until the last day he was hospitalized there. I have no words to thank each and every one of you. And especially to Dr. Steven Bibevski cardiac surgeon, a true angel who provides healing to babies like my child, and restores hope and will to live to mothers who have had to go through this painful situation. Thank you doctor, thank you to you and your team. I remember his words: "you're welcome mom, just send me pictures of Diego during each holiday to see him grow up happy and healthy." And so I will Dr. Bibevski as long as I live. May the Lord bless you and all those who gave exceptional care to my child. Health and long life !! Mi nino Diego nacio un 15 de marzo y luego de permanecer en el NICU del Palm West Hospital por 10 dias sin observar mejoria finalmente fue diagnosticado con una cuartacion de la Aorta, una de las tantas enfermedades congenitas de corazon. No puedo negar que me senti a morir y que temi muchisimo por la vida de mi nino. Pero los angeles existen y viven en la tierra disfrazados de humanos. Y estos angeles para mi fueron el maravilloso team que atendio a mi nino desde el momento en que fue trasladado al Joe DiMaggio Hospital, durante su estancia en la ICU y hasta el ultimo dia en que permanecio hospitalizado ahi. No tengo palabras para agradecerles a todos y cada uno de ustedes. Y en especial al Dr. Steven Bibevski cardiac surgeon, un verdadero angel que provee sanacion a los bebes como mi nino, y devuelve la esperanza y ganas de vivir a las madres que hemos tenido que pasar por esta situacion dolorosa. Gracias doctor graciassss a usted y a su equipo de trabajo. Recuerdo sus palabras: "de nada mama, solo envieme fotos de Diego durante cada holiday para verlo crecer feliz y sano".
