This review is for **Dr. Lawrence Reiss** specifically. My first (and only) consultation with him was among the worst experiences I've had with a medical provider. He showed no bedside manner, frequently talked over me, and didn't allow me to fully explain my symptoms. He came across as dismissive and condescending, as though he were simply going through the motions rather than genuinely listening or caring for his patient.
It felt like the kind of interaction where a patient has to fight just to receive the most basic level of care -- being heard and treated with respect.
On a positive note, the office staff were excellent, as is consistently the case with Memorial. They are the only reason this review is not one star.
I scheduled this appointment out of desperation because Dr. Reiss had a last-minute opening, and I didn't want to wait a month for another provider. Unfortunately, I regret that decision. I sincerely hope Dr. Reiss reflects on why he went into medicine and reassesses his approach to patient care, especially when working with new patients seeking diagnostic support.

Gabriela Placentini is a fantastic member of the vascular institute. She took the time to examine me and THOROUGHLY explain my issue ,the options available to me, and my course of treatment.

Great Doctors, great nurses, great place to have an open heart surgery. My dad was there and everyone was amazing, from the doctor who referred him (Dr. Jose Guzman), doctors that performed the surgery and staff that took care of him in the ICU and recovery area. Nurses Rick, Claribel in ICU, Angela physical therapy, Dr. Rick physical therapy, Julia Manager nurse in recovery, she was great. Nurse Chris. To many names to name. Everything, everyone was great. The class they teach to take care of you love one at home. Awesome!

This is an 2 day review. First day was horrible. Admitted with chest pain. Stayed in the ER hallway with multiple patients for 12 hours. No Hepa privacy for anyone. No rooms upstairs in cardiac floor. Moved from ER to hallway in 6th floor a stayed there for most of the second day. . Everyone in ER is busy and has no time for anything. ER full. Trauma full and the ambulances kept arriving. Will not ever ever return under no circumstances. Worst hospital experience of my life. ER nurses Kat and Sam were great. A bright light in a dark place. Must give credit where credit is due the nursing staff are very good. The second day I was still in the hallway. The floor nurses were very accommodating and amazing Milna, Olga Sonya and others made the hallway stay tolerable. Once I went to the Cath Lab that's when the cath crew shined and more than over compensated for the operational short fall. They were amazing. If it isn't for the crew the hospital is not a place to return or recommend. The people made up for the operations short falls.

Last month I had a consultation just for a check up at Memorial Division of Cardiac Services at Aventura.
I did that basic 30 seconds electrocardiogram and talked about 5 minutes with Doctor Wayne Marshall. I have Florida Blue Health insurance. Today I got my bill for that consultation $604 plus $66 for that basic 30 sec electrocardiogram.
They don't tell you how much you will spend up front because they want to rip you off a month later with an abusive charge that now you have to pay or they will send you to collection.
Be very careful about the abusive charges of this place. Do your Google research and ask friends and you will see that a cardiologist consultation in Miami should be between $195 to $335.
Not sure if it is the doctor or this clinic but $670 is for sure abusive if not criminal to their patient. I will never go back there. Be careful with this place charges!
