Unfortunately I was having chest pain and went to a local urgent care. They recommended I go to Health Park Medical Center to get further testing and to make sure I was not having heart issues or a blood clot. The staff at Health Park Medical Center in the ER were awesome. They were very friendly, respectful and made sure that my pain was taken care of. The doctor I saw was attentive and sympathetic to my pain. I was at the ER most of the day but things progressed pretty quickly and I was able to be discharged by the afternoon. This southern hospitality here was excellent. If you need to go to the ER, I would recommend coming here. Thank you again to the wonderful staff who took care of me when I wasn't feeling well.... And a special shout out to my nurse Alex!

Bravo! My daughter had her first child there Everyone was kind, understanding, and patient with her throughout the entire process. Special shout to Jessica Matthews because she is AMAZING! A wonderful nurse with compassion and not afraid to jump in and actually assist! Also special thanks to Tammy and the team that helped deliver my precious grandson. We THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SERVICE!!

Absolutely the worst service I have ever received at an ER visit. The staff does NOT care about the patients, when asked questions they pawn the excuse of not knowing to someone else who doesn't know. When this facility first opened it was amazing. That service has since fallen short. After waiting over 6 hours for care, the so called "doctor" (PA by the way) forgot to sign the prescription that I didn't know about until I tried to fill the next day because I wasn't discharged until 1:30 am when arrived at 6 pm. Waiting in a chair the entire time, but I guarantee my insurance will be charged the full service of a room and bed. The same generic tests were performed on every patient although I told them exactly where the pain was. I know this because every patient complained about the same thing. The ER was actually not even that busy, so the wait time and lack of care didn't make any sense. I will not go back and I believe authorities need to investigate the decline of this establishment. Do not waste your time here.

After reading all the patient complaints and generic administrative responses... this sounds like a terrible facility. Clearly, understaffed. I think I should cancel my procedure this month and move to a different hospital. I've only ever heard terrible stories about this hospital, which is a shame, because it looks beautiful on the outside. Go to Gulf Coast instead! And instead of writing back some generic "we'll do better, I'm sorry for your experience... blah blah blah, MAKE ACTUAL CHANGES. Nobody cares about your apology for patients dissatisfaction. Do better, be better, and stop being one of the worst hospitals in Ft. Myers and work towards bettering your institution. That's what people want. Not your lazy attempt at an apology.

I had my baby girl here. I was supposed to be called in to be induced however I woke up and thought my contractions had started. Nothing was actually wrong but they didn't treat me like a waste of space in the er they were very kind and told me I would be kept overnight and induced in the morning. They tried placing my I.V. And I have an extreme fear of needles in my chart they tried placing it 4 times and pinched a nerve before calling an I.V. Nurse down. That was literally the only bad experience I had while there I'm a cosmetology student so the nerve they pinched being in my wrist was definitely inconvenient but for the most part the pinching feeling has gone away only pinches now when I move in a very specific way on accident sometimes (mainly while holding the blow dryer oddly enough if a doctor might have an explanation that would be great it's not devastating or anything just feels like a tattoo needle doing one little prick just curious why that motion or hand placement might cause it) anyway we get to my induction everything is going well until around 6cm I went to the bathroom and something in my gut said to change the plan from vaginal birth to c section. My doctor was lovely he could tell I was scared and walked me through both c section options i chose to be awake the nurse in there was so sweet she breathed with me and held my hands letting me squeeze hers tightly I felt so bad after the meds kicked in I apologized for how tightly I squeezed her hands. She was a sweet older woman. And did i mention my doctor! I loved him! He was so wonderful he opened me up and immediately let me know I had made the right decision because she most likely would've gotten stuck and it would've become an emergency. ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR GUT! But genuinely no idea how he was cracking such funny jokes making me laugh so hard I was crying and still kept his lines so pretty once the scare has more time to heal I know it's gonna heal as pretty as it possibly could. The after was amazing two my nurses and other staff were incredibly supportive and sweet and funny also one was joking about how she had never had a patient just completely sleep through everything she needed to do I gave her complete permission at the beginning of her shift when she came in and introduced herself i basically just said hey I'm exhausted if you guys need to replace my iv or something just call the iv nurse you don't need to wake me up to ask same with blood pressure I can sleep with the cuff on if that makes it easier she agreed and it was so amazing they barely had to wake me up we left 3 days after my daughter was born and we requested to be out that day because my partner had to work the next day and i didn't want to be alone that night. So the staff did everything they could to rush labs and a blood transfusion so i could go home and be comfortable with my new family. Literally one mistake in the entire time I was there. If you are expecting a baby there literally isn't a better staff than the maternity staff here. I will literally never forget their faces names are iffy as I was in a lot of pain and on a lot of pain medication to help me manage which I also let them know their is a history of addiction in my family and was scared of they helped walk me through the whole thing said try it if you feel like you like it too much you seem self aware enough to tell us and we can try something else. I was so relieved when I hated how it made me feel I told my nurse when she came back in to check on me and she was so happy for me it was genuinely such a wholesome moment. I told her don't get me wrong I like the pain relief like it is working but it made me feel a little "light headed" like not actually light headed but yk and I hated that feeling and I was so happy I did and again she was genuinely happy for me. Those nurses genuinely deserve a raise they go above and beyond they genuinely care about every single one of us and all the babies they help bring into the world and that is worth more than money can buy!
