I have been seeing Dr Macaluso for over 15 years and he has been one outstanding physician, he has always given all the answers and time I needed and has always answered all of my questions. I believe if it wasn't for him and taking care of my problems I wouldn't be here today. He's just one wonderful person to have as your Doctor he cares about you and gives you the time you need. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs a great Doctor. Phil Donahue
So my significant other gets seen here at Dr. Macaluso's office and she was having a hard time getting her entresto refilled by Walgreens and Walgreens instructed her to reach out to her cardiologist which she did and the doctors assistant which i believe is his wife was very rude and wasn't of any help nor did she have any empathy or compassion for the doctors patient. Dr. Macaluso is fantastic but the older lady who answered the phone and spoke to my significant other needs to be better with the patients.
The best way to describe this doctor is at my first meeting, he spent an hour with me. He went over every detail of my attack; changed meds & showed me studies that explained why the change. No stone unturned. Question: when was the last time your cardiologist did that? He is nothing short of amazing. A brilliant doctor with the personality to match. And his staff is a close 2nd.
Called me every day for a week to remind me of my 4 pm Friday appointment for echocardiogram then called that morning and moved me to 5. Then called at 4 and cancelled me altogether. Had a stress test scheduled the following Monday at 3, on my calendar for 2 weeks , when they called to cancel my echocardiogram I asked to confirm that and suddenly there was no record of that appointment. On initial visit the Dr seemed fine and staff was pleasant but apparently they do not have their act together. For something as important as cardiac health this is not good and could even be dangerous. I will be looking elsewhere.
Doctor listens and cares. He did not make me feel as if I had a time limit. Very caring staff, too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr John Macaluso
