Dr. Velasquez took care of my mother while she was visiting Florida and had a life-threatening cardiac emergency 3/2021. Though my mother was connected with Dr. Velasquez because he happened to be on call, he took outstanding care of her. He is an expert in his field and treated my mother with compassion and confidence. He has excellent bedside manor and took time to clearly explain everything to her while advising her of all options and risks. Being a physician myself, feeling helpless being miles away, I can honestly say that I could not have taken better care of her myself. Knowing she was in his care put me at ease. He communicated with me multiple times and I agreed fully with every step in his management plan. I have never met him but know that we are very lucky he was available when my mother needed him. I cannot thank him enough and would recommend him without hesitation.

Dr. Velasquez and his team are wonderful! I had a Thursday morning appt, the office wasn't that busy due to Covid-19 restrictions and I was greeted nicely by the front desk staff. It's so a clean, sterile looking office. They gave me about five pages of forms to complete, plus I had brought recent labs and records which they made copies of. I hardly waited before my name was called by a pleasant young staffer who gave me an EKG, which was normal" and that's when I met the doctor. He has a great personality, told me the truth about what was happening with me since I'm a 50 yr old man who's 6'1" and weighs 252 lbs. Plus I had Covid-19 for five weeks last March, I kind of knew what the doctor was going to say. I follow up with him and his staff next week and I'm very happy I did my due diligence in selecting Dr. Velasquez. I highly recommend him!

My family is grateful for the profesionalsim and attention from Dr. Juan Velasquez towards my grandmother. His expertise in his field helped him diagnose my grandmother immediately. She was in need of stent placement due to clogged arteries that he found. Everything was a success. He made the family feel safe and secure prior to procedure. He continued a routine check with her daily making sure everything was on the right path before being released. We know he has given us more years of life to enjoy with her and for that we are blessed and grateful! We highly recommend him. Thank you Dr. Velasquez.

1 star is for the Dr. Juan Velasquez because she seems like an amazing doctor but the facility that he's under is bringing him down. People leave these nice reviews after their first appointment because you get numerous alerts to leave the facility a review. First visit nothing major wait was 30-45 minutes after my scheduled appointment. If you need a test done they schedule you behind at the main hospital, the communication between my PCP, to Tenet Physicians, and Florida main hospital is like pulling teeth. Can't get a hold of Briana, Briana deals with medical records and referrals. I've been going back and fourth for months now. No call back when they don't feel like doing their jobs their systems is down will call you back, never do. They told me I have a heart condition which I think don't exists because I haven't been seen by a heart specialist in almost 10 months. Please do your research when picking a doctor because all they see is dollar signs. Office need to do their part or hire people who wants to work.

I was diagnosed by my general practicioner with PAD (Peripheral Artery Disease). I was told I needed to see an interventional cardiologist. My insurance company gave me three choices in my area. I researched all three via the internet and choose to see Dr. Velasquez. He is a truly compassionate, knowledgeable physician which is rare to find in South Florida. I highly recommend him to anyone who is unfortunate enough to need an interventional cardiologist. After he performed an angioplasty and introduced a stent into my leg I have had no issues. The pain was gone 2 days after the procedure and I haven't felt anything since.
