Facing the news that I needed quadruple bypass heart surgery was, understandably, a moment of deep concern. But that concern quickly turned into relief when I was told that Dr. Alexander Justicz would be performing the procedure. I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Justicz in my line of work before this event, and his personable and friendly nature had always stood out to me. Knowing he would be the one operating gave me a profound sense of comfort and trust. The outcome has been nothing short of phenomenal. I feel better now than I have in many years--physically stronger, more energetic, and with a renewed sense of vitality. At this late stage in life, it truly feels like I've been given a new lease on life. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Justicz and the entire medical team for their expertise, compassion, and dedication. This experience has not only improved my health but also reaffirmed the importance of trust and excellence in medical care.

I'll preface with the fact that I spent quite a few years working in a hospital, with some pretty talented surgeons. Dr. Justicz is THE most talented surgeon I've encountered. Beautiful handling of family; he's patient and caring. I've no words to describe him other than a true "Unicorn". He kept my dad alive, and I will be forever grateful for that.

Dr. Justicz's exceptional skills as a heart surgeon as well as his professionalism and caring resulted in the outstanding cardiac care my husband received at Holy Cross Hospital during his recent bypass surgery. We cannot adequately express our gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Justicz, anesthesiologist Dr. Bui, his amazing PA Megan, surgical nurse Cathy and the entire team. They are remarkable!

Dr. Justicz recently performed an open heart procedure to repair the Mitral Valve of my heart, in addition to other complications that became evident once he was able to see the complete situation. He thoroughly explained the options prior to surgery, answered all of our questions, and even interrupted his vacation to perform the surgery. He has a very pleasant and professional bedside manner and after meeting several of his patients in the hospital, they did nothing but sing his praises. Dr. Justicz is a cardiovascular surgeon among many. Avoid bypass surgery if at all possible because the graph failure rate, damage to lungs, diaphragm paralysis and neurological damage are all very common and also downplayed by cardiovascular surgeons in general. Talk to the many different medical specialist required to treat the post surgical damages to understand and learn about less damaging options. Keep in mind the hospital is a business managed by Trinity Health, so the more care required, the better. I had to go outside the Holy Cross system to learn the truth about what the surgery did to me personally.
