I made an appointment with this Doctor about 2 years ago, I gave the staff all my information in order to make an appointment ( which is required). A few days prior to my appointment, I received a call canceling my appointment due to an emergency the Doctor had. I never rescheduled and found another Cardiologist. I received a call call from a lady today named Elizabeth Gadea stating that she was giving me a courtesy call from their office because I would be turning 65 in December and she wanted to assist me with my Medicare decisions. This is an illegal violation of HIPPA compliance on their behalf! They gave out my personal information for solicitation!

I have been seeing Dr. Louis Fernandez for over 20 years.
I can't say enough good things about him.
He professional, knowledgeable, warm and caring. He has taken great care of me over all these years.
Recently, his daughter, Dr.Marlena Fernandez joined his practice. When people say the acorn does not fall from the tree, they definitely had the Dr.Fernandez's in mind.
Dr. Marlena Fernandez is a pleasure to work with, just like her father.
She is easy to talk to, and gives you all the time you need to ask all the questions you have.
If you are looking for a great Cardiologist, you can be sure that either one of these two doctors will take good care of you.

Exceptional experience with excellent customer service! Our time in the clean, comfortable waiting room was brief. The staff was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Dr. Fernandez was familiar with the patient history, took the time to review and explain results and medication options, and answered all our questions. Overall, an outstanding visit. Highly recommended!

This Doctor is one of the most rude and unprofessional I have ever visit. He prescribed me a medication called Nifedipine and the reaction was horrible on me. I called the Doctor's Louis office and let them know about what I was experiencing, and the nurse in charge suggested me to go to the office. I got there and I was attended by a nurse the Doctor never showed up. She told me; the Doctor said, I must get used to the medicine. Of course, I stopped taking the mentioned pill and I scheduled a visit with another cardiologist which prescribed me a mild better drug. Now the Doctor is charging me for a visit, and since I did not pay it because that was not a regular visit, He hired a Lawyer to threaten me, and the bill is now double. I witnessed one of the nurses treated a patient really bad in one of my visits. The guy was asking a question about his treatment and the representative told him that He was not welcome anymore in the office. She recommended him to look for another Doctor. I got confused by what was happening but now I can see clearly that in the office they do not care at all about the well-being of the patients. I will never recommend this Doctor to anybody I know on the contrary if you have a heart problem stay away from him.

This is not a cardiologist that I would recommend. Unfortunately this doctor and his staff were a disappointment. I have elderly parents in their mid 80s. We had an appointment at 1:00 and 1:15. on a Monday. We arrived to the appointment on time. Wrote both their names in the check in list. We waited for about 45 minutes to be informed that their appointments were cancelled due to us not confirming their appointments on Friday. Typically this has never been an issue in the past. I explained that we were not home and they called the home number. She mentioned that the first call was a little after 3pm then 6 PM I asked if the doctor was aware of this cancellation and that we were not home but it did not matter what I had to say. It was talking to a wall. The appointment was cancelled and was told that I had to reschedule. I thought about the many times I have sat with both my parents waiting over 2 and 3 hours to be seen and how quickly they cancelled their appointments. Typically these calls are to remind you of the appointment and if you need to reschedule to call the office. If you are a no show, you may even get charged in some offices. This I had never experienced. I told the receptionist that I would not reschedule but wanted my parent's medical reports.
There are plenty of better cardiologist out there with a better staff.
Research your doctors well.
