My significant other (at 78 yrs old) had major valve repair surgery. Dr. Bethea repaired the valve and used a procedure that enabled him to have no pain after the procedure. He then flew to Japan to teach students the technique there. He is very competent and I highly recommend him. Yes, follow up visits are handled by his nurse practitioner but the results of the surgery was worth it. My guy now walks 5 miles a day and does everything at the gym daily. He is totally healed! he is now 79.

This is not about the surgery. The heart surgery went beautifully. We had zero complaints until leaving the hospital. Dr. Bethea's care once my husband was discharged from the hospital was NON EXISTENT. Not one phone call. It's been over a month and the doc has never once contacted him despite the NUMEROUS phone calls because of medication interactions and even a trip back to the hospital from complications. Even when he went to Dr. Bethea's Office he did not get to see the doctor. I am completely disgusted.
