I want to file an excellent report of healthcare I received from Advent Health Daytona. On October 30, I suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken by ambulance to Emergency Care in Advent. The situation was dire for two days when I was on a ventilator. Through fervent and non-stop prayers of my family and prayer partners and through the tireless efforts of excellent doctors (Dr. Angie Alvarez, Dr. Hamarneh, Dr. Troya, Dr. Torres) and staff, I am alive today. I also want to acknowledge Dr. David Henderson who has taken good care of me as my cardiologist. I am grateful for the excellent care I continue to receive from Dr. Prathab Simhadri and Dr. Poemlarp Mekrakakit. Some of the top leaders like Dr. Adli took personal care to check up on me. Dr. Raoul on the Therapy floor was excellent. I could not think of a single person, nurses and staff, who were not courteous and compassionate to my needs. The chaplains were amazing to come around everyday to pray with me. We are blessed to have such a high quality hospital here in our community. My prayers are that they will continue to save lives like they saved mine.

The staff were excellent. They kept me informed as the Drs gave them instructions. The food was great! Fresh pineapple. I heard from one of the staff praising their pot roast. I was able to have omelet. Another suggestion! My only issue was with VA head Nurse! She had been helping until she came in to yell at me! I had been up all night with more testing. She wud constantly tell me to ease off the sauce! She actually came to the office while I was leaving the hospital and whispered again in my ear to keep off the sauce! My issues are stress related. She was so unprofessional! Doesn't make me feel better to go to VA hospital if she is the leader of nurses?

Can't say enough wonderful things about the care I received at Advent Health. My neurosurgeon, Dr. Vinas is amazing and so caring; the Same Day Surgery Team are wonderful. Every person we had any contact with were all kind and caring.
I even received a get well card from my caregivers in the Surgery area. How thoughtful was that? And Advent followed up 2 days later with a call to check on me.
I am soo blessed and grateful for these wonderful skilled individuals who truly did put the patient and their family first.
And I appreciated the prayer before surgery from one of their chaplains.

I couldnt be happier with my experience at the labor and delivery department. I was induced and ended up spending 5 days there. The entire time I felt informed, cared for, comfortable, and like my baby and I were in the best hands. Everyone was absolutely amazing and attentive, including the students. My actual labor was amazing and I felt beyond supported, my labor and delivery nurse Taylor was beyond amazing and the doctor even allowed my boyfriend to step in and help deliver our daughter. It was a beautiful and special experience. I learned so much to help me care for my baby just during my stay from the nurses, midwives, and lactation team that visits you daily. I am very grateful to everyone that works in labor and delivery, especially as a first time Mom. I 10000% recommend having your baby here.

I was brought in by ambulance on Thanksgiving with stroke like symptoms and everyone from the ED to ICU and imaging were the absolute best. The amount of compassion that was given to me and my sister was incredible. The neurosurgery team was top notch repairing some major issues that most likely caused what was a stroke and I was discharged with no lingering effects.
