If I could give a negative star I would. My family was receiving care from Dr. Behairy from years. Recently after a series of test she was referred to a cardiac surgeon. We had several questions and was referred back to Dr. Behairy. My family member informed Dr. Behairy that with the information provided and based on her own research she would like to continue with the surgery. The surgery was scheduled and my family proceeded to make plans to assists after the surgery. I shipped my car from California and ended my contract early. After arriving to Florida in time enough for the preop, I was informed that the surgery was cancelled "because something looked different". We Arranged an appointment to discuss. "Behairy enters the office and says what can I help you with today" completely oblivious that he canceled the surgery and had our family was frightened because he said "something looked different" and to the fact that my whole family has flipped their life upside down. During the rest of the appointment he continued to cut me, hold his hand up while I was speaking and and walked out the office while another provider was speaking to us. He was rude, lacked empathy and professionalism. The only reason they provided for canceling the appointment was to discuss the options which we'd already done months before. When asked what's the best option they said it's up to the patient but my family member already decided that surgery was the best option and didn't provide any additional insight or an apology from Dr. Behairy. I work in healthcare for over a decade in the OR and have managed transplant surgeries, I've never had this experience. I wouldn't recommend my dog to be seen by Dr. Behairy. If you're looking for a cardiologist look elsewhere.
