Dr. Fernanda Mercade, MD

Dr. Mercade is an excellent doctor who truly takes the time to listen and give personal attention. She's a real doctor who cares about her patients, and she doesn't send you for unnecessary tests or prescribe medicine unless it's truly needed. The office is spotless with a calm, relaxing atmosphere, and appointments always run on time. I have never waited more than a 15-minute in the lobby. The staff is polite, professional, and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Mercade to anyone looking for outstanding, trustworthy care.

Dr Fernanda and her staff were excellent. Everyone smiled, answered questions and were extremely helpful. As a new patient I did not know what to expect from her office. I had a 9:00 appointment and was in the room with the medical assistant checking my vital signs before 9:05. Everything was efficient and explained as it was done. When the Dr came in she was great. Asked extensive questions about my family history and discussed a plan of action after reviewing my previous labs and my concerns. Not your typical Doctor visit is a very good way. I found this doctors office to be somewhat tedious. I just got turned away from my appointment that I had scheduled because according to them I didn't confirm. I didn't know I had to call to confirm, I just made my appointment and thought that was enough. I also have to pay for parking, and they only accept cash (who carries cash anymore). They charge if you don't cancel prior to 24 hours. It doesn't feel like they are trying to be accommodating to their patients at all. Plus the doctor is pretty dismissive in my opinion.

Office staff is rude, inefficient and don't know how to communicate with patients. Charged me for a no show even though I arrived to my apt (early). Drove one hour to the apt. They don't show empathy or consideration even though they made errors. A great doctor doesn't mean much if the experience of the front desk and office manager is sub par. I've only had negative experiences with her. She doesn't face you when she speaks to you. Left feeling disrespected and disappointed.

Absolutely love Dr. Fernanda Mercade. She came as highly recommend by a friend and I had certain expectations but my personal experience far exceeded my expectations. Dr. Mercade is thoughtful, caring and very knowledgeable. I am glad she will be my primary doctor from now on.
