Humanitary Medical Center Brandon

Dr Diaz is nice, but the clinic management set up is a disaster. I was on my 5th transfer trying to make an appointment. First they send me over to the marketing person who tries to sell me their advantage plan. I insist that I don't want an advantage plan. I had an advantage plan and it was a disaster. I have straight Medicare and I'm happy with it. I try to find out what it would cost to get my medicines renewed. She told me that it was free and we all know that's not true. (And then we get the bill 3 months later for $300 or more.) I told her that I had been Dr Diaz's patient for years at a different clinic, he knows me. A couple of years ago when I called him, he gave me a fixed price he would charge me for an office visit, but at the time I had an advantage plan that he didn't accept. No record of that. They never put me into the system because I wasn't a part of their advantage plan. I was transferred again to another woman who was supposed to make the appointment and she transferred me to another woman who started the whole process all over again. Finally, I was told I needed to talk to another guy who would try to sell me the advantage plan again and then make the appointment, but he wasn't going to be back for at least another hour or more. I was on the phone for 20 minutes going around in circles and getting nothing done. I like Dr Diaz, but this mess is just not worth it, especially since he is 20 miles away in Brandon. I have a nurse practitioner friend who will renew my meds I just didn't want to bother her. Plus there are other walk-in clinics that know what they plan to charge you when you walk in the door. Sheesh, what are messed up system.

I'm a self pay patient at this facility. They perform there own blood work onsite, tell me how much I have to pay for my tests which start at $30 for my A1C. I've been getting bills from LabCorp which I have not gone to. LabCorp tells me they are from Humanitary. Humanitary tells me it's a mistake and they are working with LabCorp to get it fixed and that I'm not the only patient it has happened to. It's been ongoing for months and hasn't gotten fixed. I've asked to speak to the manager several times only to be told by the same receptionist that she will personally make sure the manager calls me yet I only get the run around. I'm suspecting some kind of fraud or foul play from this practice. They have the ordasity to call me to schedule future appointments when I asked for them to cancel all labs and doctors visits until this gets resolved. I'm a diabetic and need to monitor my A1C periodically. This practice is very unorganized, they can't get there records straight nor the intake of appointment scheduling, canceling, or communication. I'm seeking assistance on a legal level for this matter to get resolved now. BEWARE!

Honestly I have never in my life been in a medical center where everyone is so nice and Happy,I felt like I was at home with my family,I don't think I would ever go somewhere else since I met this place, everyone here is so nice and the most beautiful thing is that everyone speak English and Spanish and I felt like I was at home ! Big Thank You ! to the entire staff of this place from the front desk the happiness starts in this place since the ladies in the front are so nice until the doctor that is very kind you will feel at home ! I give them 100 starts !

I have been a patient of this clinic for long time, excellent care, clean facility, staff are wonderful , they are always there as family, Dr Jorge Diaz is my primary care physician, to me best doctor in tampa bay area and i will follow him any where he goes just to continue under his care, (hope he stay in this clinic forever...lol) im living over one hour traveling from this clinic , but Because of the excellent care it does not matter for me, Dr Diaz is very knowledgeable, treat you as family member, take his time to provide the best care for his patient, I will recommend him to any one in a need of a good doctor including my own family, please keep it up the good work .
