When I arrived at Bethesda Hospital West for my surgery, I was understandably nervous--yet from the moment I walked through the doors, every member of the team helped turn a stressful situation into a truly wonderful experience. Nathan greeted me with genuine kindness, and every staff member answered my questions with patience, making sure I felt informed and supported at every step.
I was especially impressed by the cleanliness and overall environment. Everything felt well-maintained and orderly. The waiting areas, hallways, patient areas, and bathrooms were spotless, and the staff were consistently attentive to hygiene. It gave me a strong sense of comfort and trust throughout the entire process.
The nurses were extraordinary--attentive, reassuring, and incredibly compassionate. A heartfelt thank-you to the amazing team: Jessica, RN (pre-op), Jennifer, RN (pre-op), Darcy (pre-op), Rosie (intra-op), Sherona (intra-op), Amanda, CRNA, and Moiria, RN (PACU and discharge), and of course Dr. Cortolillo. They treated me not just as a patient, but as a person, constantly checking in to ensure I felt comfortable and calm.
My surgical team explained the procedure clearly, eased my worries, and carried themselves with a level of confidence and professionalism that immediately put me at ease.
From pre-op to recovery, everything felt seamless. The care I received was not only skilled but heartfelt. Even the small touches--warm blankets, gentle encouragement, thoughtful follow-up--made a meaningful difference in my experience.
Walking out of Bethesda Hospital West, I felt grateful, cared for, and deeply impressed. What could have been a frightening day became one filled with comfort and trust, all thanks to the incredible people who work there. It was truly a wonderful experience, and I'm thankful for every person who played a part in it

Dr. Tsekhanob... horrible Doctor!!! Worst experience with a doctor in my entire life! Dr. Tsekhanob Was beyond extremely rude! My boyfriend and I went to the ER the night of 11/10 to get X-rays for what we thought was a dislocated shoulder. Dr. Tsekhanob didn't even touch or examine his shoulder. He asked my boyfriend if he wanted a "medicine shot"???? He left us in the room for 20 minutes after seeing us for 2 seconds and never told the nurse we needed an IV so I had to go find him.. honestly save yourself and go somewhere else!!! He acted like we were the biggest bother ever!! I honestly couldn't believe that he is allowed to be a doctor the way he talks and treats his patience! He even said things like "are you telling me or asking me"???? "I'm not going to argue with you "???? Veryyy hostile and doesn't care at all!
Today is 12/5/25 we received a letter from the hospital last week letting us know that they didn't take further action in the horrible experience my boyfriend and I went through with Dr. Tsekhanob! After talking to multiple staff the night of 11/10/25 THREE had little digs to say about him... kind of letting us know "we weren't the only ones" one staff member actually told us he didn't like the doctor himself and other said "we had to have a talk with him once before because he was not treating his patients with care, the only good thing he does is buys us tacos on Tuesday"..... we mentioned to the lady when she called to follow up on this review everything that happened "trying to discharge us before results, never touched my boyfriends hurt shoulder, the unprofessionalism choice of words he used, the aggressiveness he had" she also agreed that was not right! I'm honestly in shock!! I have been telling everyone how horrible this hospital is and to never go there!! You guys did nothing but waste our time and take our money.

I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to express my profound gratitude for the exceptional care I received from the incredible staff at Bethesda West ER. Recently, I faced some serious health issues that required immediate attention, including multiple blood transfusions.
From the moment I stepped into the ER waiting area, I felt a reassuring sense of security and care.
The triage nurse, Traci Montgomery, truly stood out. Her professionalism and competence were immediately evident. She quickly recognized how seriously ill and breathless I was, responding with both urgency and calmness. Traci made me feel seen and valued, not just another patient passing through. Her kindness left a lasting impression on me.
Once in the examination room, Michelle Shen took over my care, and she too was extraordinary. Her compassion and expertise were clear from the start. She accurately identified my anemic condition and promptly initiated the necessary blood work while engaging me in friendly conversation that put me at ease. Her meticulous attention to detail and warm demeanor were pivotal in my recovery. Michelle even brought me a warm blanket and socks without my asking--small gestures like these can make an enormous difference.
The level of care and thoughtfulness I experienced was nothing short of life-changing. I am deeply thankful to Traci, Michelle, and the entire team at Bethesda West ER for their dedication and humanity during such a critical time in my life.
