Eileen de Grandis, M.D., RPVI, FACS, obtained her medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. After medical school, she completed her general surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic and vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Minnesota. Dr. de Grandis went on to work at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte and Bayfront Health Punta Gorda. During her time there as a lead vascular surgeon, she served as co-chair of the Radiation Safety Committee and provided training, education and enacted safety measures for the staff. I was impressed with Dr De Grandis and her staff. They are science based and data driven. Her first step was to identify and quantity my carotid artery blockage with CT Scan. She also premedicated me to offset any allergic reaction to ctscan contrast. She is focused on good outcome for her patients. Communicates well. I am in good hands.Happy to be referred to her. I do not recommend this office or this doctor. I told her she needed to work on her bedside manner. I still have to pay for the visit, when she rudely said she was unable to help with my issue. I asked why I was scheduled with her and she made it sound as if it was my fault that I should've known that the people who created the appointments aren't qualified to do so. All around it was a horrible experience and she could've just been nice from the very beginning and said that she's not qualified to help me. She didn't have to be rude or be condescending towards me because of the mistake that Baptist Health made in scheduling me with her.
Love Dr. Degrandis! She takes the necessary time to make you feel comfortable with the plan. She also runs on time for the three appts I have had. Her staff is lovely as well.
Dr de Grandis was superb. I switched vascular doctors at the last minute before another procedure to get a second opinion and she was extremely responsive, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend her and her practice.
