This was my first time visiting a cardiologist and was very nervous. I was greeted by his assistant Patrica who was wonderful. Dr. Merrill entered the room and immediately I felt I was in good hands. He spoke to me not down to me He explained everything about the tests he was ordering and put me at ease with his explanations. So hard to find a doctor that is so kind, caring and knowledgeable . I would highly recommend him Fran Borress
On Christmas Day of 2021 I was brought to Boca Regional after having and ignoring back and arm pains for over a week. Dr. Merrill was the physician on call and told me I was having a heart attack. He immediately performed a cardiac Cath and inserted two stents. I was in total disbelief and pretty scared. I found Dr. Merrill to be patient, professional, and calming. I had the same experience when I met Patricia at his office. I am so happy to be in their care.
My family member went to Dr. Merrill because they were having terrible breathing issues. We found him to be indifferent and sarcastic. Extensive tests were done and we never got called with my results. And when they did call they said everything was fine.... We found another amazing cardiologist, Dr. Eli Levine, as we were desperate for answers and through just a simple telehealth call during covid, he my family member diagnosed immediately with congestive heart failure. All the breathing was from water weight.... This changed their world and would have never gotten better with this doctor.
Dr Merrill is a capable, caring physician. The office staff is also fantastic. This is my husband's cardiologist. We find them to be very easy to work with and they call back promptly with any test results.
Poor communication skills and no beside manner. Poor communication to a patient shows lack of compassion and knowledge. Office staff are nasty and have no concern for patients current medical situation and fears related to cardiology condition. They show no dignity to patients. Stay away from Dr Merrill. The other doctors in his office may be good but the office is terrible.
