Dr Kloosterman and his staff are excellent. Very efficient and well run office. The staff are polite and make you feel welcome.

SEEK ANOTHER PHYSICIAN What should have been a routine, simple pacemaker implantation had my Mother in emergency cardiothoracic surgery as a result of a COMPLICATION (Pericardial Effusion) of HIS WORK - and in the Cardiac ICU unit in BRRH for 12 days. A difficult surgery from which she just could not rally. NO underlying cardiac disease; NO meds - not even a baby aspirin! NO underlying compromising disease state like an autoimmue disorder. In fact, had been taking her daily half hour walk until the day before Dr. K got his hands on her. Unfortunately, Mom was in complete heart block (ALLEGEDLY, based on a routine visit to her general cardiologist) and much to everyone's surprise - completely asymptomatic - taking her daily walk....no shortness of breath or chest pain. A testimony to how strong her heart is/was (she is alive, but deteriorating - suffering an inhumane demise; eventually will succumb) As I did not have the luxury of time on my side to research and get a referral for a reputable EP because this was 'emergent,' he was 'the guy who does this out of BRRH.' Not an endorsement that instills confidence I would have gone out of Boca to find a good, competent and quality physician

I had a 10:30 appt. I checked in and asked if he was (Kloosterman) on time. I was told yes. At 10:45 I checked with the front desk I was told he was now over 1 hour behind. I was not offered an alternative to my appointment. I was told his next appointment available would be in March of 2024 . The office staff / doctors seem not to respect their patients time. The staff needs to improve the communication with the patient. To expect someone to wait hours without explanation is unacceptable. I am now looking tho find an alternative. RD

I have just experienced the worst with this office at this point. When you call a doctor office, in my opinion you are under the impression that you can trust that you are in good hands. I was admitted into the hospital on Saturday, after being released I was told to call this office to schedule my appointment. The young lady Chelsey whom answered the telephone was so rude and truly did not make me feel like I can even trust this office with my health. I am not calling a hair salon or nail salon, this is my HEALTH I am talking about. I would NOT recommend this office to anyone since the first impression is what matters the most. The doctor should know what type of people are answering the calls and assisting the patients when they are seeking for help. This is what doctors are for. I did not even have a chance to visit the doctor and see if he was any better than the young lady answering the telephone. If this is the kind of treatment I will be receiving with my health then I do not think anyone should trust this office. You should always feel welcomed and safe when calling a doctor office, especially if you were told to call this actual office by another physician. Chelsey assumed I was here to play games with her and then claimed she had a scripts of questions to ask before making an appointment. I would assume that the hospital visit and the fact that the actual physician who attended me at the hospital had already spoken to Dr. Martin would be enough proof that this is a serious appointment. Your health is not something people should take lightly when assisting others that have no clue what is going on with them, we seek medical attention because we need it. This was a very disturbing call and I had to speak my mind because Chelsey truly did not make me feel safe at this office. I hope this does not happen to others.

Go Elsewhere! My father had a procedure that required a follow up post T.E.E. after 6 months. After 8 months never hearing from the office, we called and called leaving several messages, finally getting through we set up an appointment to see Kloosterman so he could then schedule the post T.E.E. We never saw the doctor only the assistant, who admitted my father's post T.E.E. is long overdue...she said the hospital would call us to set up the appointment. After almost 2 months and not hearing from the hospital, I have left weekly messages to Kloosterman's office. You cannot get through to talk to a person... the only option is to leave voicemails, no matter what extension you use. The extremely long message is enough to drive anyone into madness...and then to continually have to endure it every week leaving messages that go unreturned and unanswered...It's exasperating. Their inability and disorganization to return calls and/ or to follow up with necessary protocols demonstrates their lack of care or concern. My father is 91 and needless to say, we go to many, many doctors in the area, this one, is by far the WORST!!!
