We provide on-site cardiovascular testing for student athletes between the ages of 12-25. Our diagnostic testing includes an EKG, echocardiogram and a vascular ultrasound to determine if there are any abnormalities that are commonly found in athletes and that can lead to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), including Myocarditis, HCM, Blood clots, DVTs (Deep Vein Thrombosis) and PEs (Pulmonary Embolisms) just to name a few. Facts * Young athletes are more than twice as likely to experience SCA than young non-athletes * In the United States, a young competitive athlete dies suddenly every three days * Most victims are male (90%) * Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the leading cardiovascular cause of SCA (36%) in young athletes.

They were supposed to come 2 days to my sons school and never showed up the second day. Spoke to the athletic dept. and apparently they were horrible the day that they actually showed up. They were disorganized and unprofessional and will never use them again. My family have lots of heart issues and would have been a great thing for my son to get this checked out without having to pay through insurance. But now will just have to pay through insurance for these tests.
It's never too early to start... what I didn't know til now, was that early cardiac screening is a great predictor of future problems. It makes sense that genetic propensity to heart issues can be detected and treatments can begin well before any symptoms are discovered. This type of screening done by Cappo Health seems to be our future.
