Rushed to Conclusion? I was at the hospital in Feb and the APRN of their office "recommended" setting me up with an ICD and Pacemaker. So I was shocked at first with that recommendation. 2 Devices, 8+ weeks physically limited. - Lot to take in...but then my cardiologist who has been treating me for about a year cited that this "surgery" may not be needed based on my history with bradycardia and just needed to be monitored. -- Then a mix up at the hospital and I was told to "still" have surgery the next day. - So, I slowed it all down, refused surgery medication, summoned the station doctor and informed him about the "two" experts having different opinions and why I would consent to have surgery done by a doctor whose face I never met and apparently is quite busy. - I told them that my confidence was not all that great having a busy doctor putting an ICD and pacemaker in, especially if they did not discuss in great detail about post-surgery stuff. - So, I refused, went to see my personal cardiologist who said for me not to worry about a 40-50 heart rate because I am an athlete.-- Dr. Rancovic may be a good doctor but I am glad holding the "horses" because it was not an emergency, but that "not rushing to conclusion" or getting a opinion seem important. To good heart health

Dr Rankovic is very concerned about me as a patient and a person. He explains things fully and you can tell he makes decisions based on your best interest. Yes, the office is challenging at times, but don't take that against him. I trust him completely.

The doctor is ok but his office staff is horrible. They do not return messages and they don't answer their phones when they should. Try making online like they suggest in their message when you call, don't waste your time. Nobody gets back to you.
My cardiologist is aware of this horrible staff. If he needs to communicate with the doctor, he sends a text.
Update- I was supposed to have a pacemaker put in but two days before the procedure was scheduled to be done it was postponed because I hadn't stopped jardiance. This doctor's office didn't tell me to stop taking that medicine. I learned today when I went to pre-op that I was supposed to stop it.
Now they aren't returning my phone calls again. Incompetent, unprofessional, and causing me to both distrust them and have zero confidence. Avoid this medical practice.

Dr. Rankovic and his staff are awesome. He took the time to explain my condition and possible courses of treatment. I never felt rushed when speaking to him, which is a rarity with many doctors these days. I feel better now than I have in years, and I'm thankful for a Doctor that truly seems to care about his patients.

I had an appointment with Dr Rankovic back in December. I was in the hospital and had to reschedule it took over 2 months for an appointment. Day of appointment I had a couple of appointments got to Dr Rankovic office for a 12:15pm appointment. Was sitting in the waiting room and heard 2 other people had a appointment with Dr Rankovic at 12:15pm. I got there before my scheduled time and wasted 45 minutes waiting for an appointment I didn't get to keep. I had to leave because I had another important doctor's appointment. The office called me 3x to confirm but never called afterwards to reschedule. Guess they don't care about people just what money they can get.
