About Dr. Syed Waqas Haider, MD
Syed Waqas Haider, MD, MPH, FACC is a cardiologist at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital who currently leads the pericardial disease program. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. Beyond treating pericardial diseases, Dr Haider also treats the spectrum of other cardiovascular conditions including cardiomyopathy, hypertension, arrythmias, valvular and coronary disease.
