Patient Reviews

Dr Reiner, this morning on CNN, just compared a US policy of asking incoming visitors or immigrants if they have Hepatitis B to the actions of Nazis during the Holocaust. I find this comment to be disturbingly lacking in judgment and fact. This is especially concerning as he was interviewed as a "credible" member of the medical community. I came to this country as an immigrant and my medical history was included as part of the vetting process, as it should be. To not inquire about infectious diseases would be, to my mind, irresponsible.

Should focus on treating patients he has examined.

Dr. Reiner is the voice of sensibility and credibility with his CNN reports. His calm manner and straight forward views about Coronavirus are well informed and very much appreciated.

Dr. Reiner was one of my cardiologists when I was admitted to GWU Hospital in March 2001. Following a good discussion of options to address my almost totally blocked aortic valve, I decided to accept his (and Dr. Jacob Varghese's) recommendation that I have a titanium (St. Jude) valve installed, which would require that I take blood thinners (Coumadin) for the rest of my life. Nineteen years later, I am playing tennis and grateful for Dr. Reiner's advice and expertise.

Dr. Reiner is a great cardiologist heading top professional team at GWH. He challenges any complicated medical procedure with dedication and focuses on the positive outcomes before any negatives. We are blessed that he assisted our 85 years old mom to have a second chance during her recent heart procedure.
