About Dr. Farooq H. Sheikh, MD

Farooq H Sheikh, MD, is a heart failure and cardiac transplantation specialist at MedStar Heart Institute. He has authored numerous publications in cardiovascular medicine and heart failure and has received several honors, including the Professionalism Award from Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and the Frank L Pollack, MD, Research Award from New York Medical College. Dr Sheikh completed post-doctoral research at Johns Hopkins University's McKusick-Nathans Institute and previously served as an assistant professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
