Brian G Choi, MD, FACC, is Professor of Medicine & Radiology, Chief Medical Information Officer, and Co-Director of Advanced Cardiac Imaging in the Division of Cardiology at the George Washington University. He specializes in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging including cardiovascular CT and MRI, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography. His clinical interests include the prevention and treatment of coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure and valvular heart disease. Dr Choi's research uses non-invasive imaging to assess coronary artery disease treatment strategies, atherosclerotic plaque composition, and their thrombotic complications, and he has developed new products for some of the world's leading healthcare companies.

Dr. Brian Choi is an outstanding cardiologist who is knowledgeable, highly skilled, professional, diagnostically adept, and responsive. He is also a warm, compassionate human being. Dr. Choi listens carefully to patients, asks the right questions, and fully explains the treatment options. He takes the time to discuss any questions and concerns, and treats everyone with consideration and respect. My husband, Joseph D Cornwell, has been a patient of Dr. Choi's for at least four years and has received excellent care. Joe has several aneurysms and lost his left leg in 2010 when a stent bypass failed. Since then, doctors have been closely monitoring Joe's abdominal and aortic aneurysms. Dr. Choi is the only cardiologist to follow up with Joe's legs, where new, large aneurysms at risk for dissecting, were discovered . Dr. Choi was instrumental in saving Joes right leg. Dr. Choi is a gifted doctor. who relates to the whole person, and maximizes beneficial medical outcomes. One hallmark of a great doctor is that patients leave appointments with Dr. Choi feeling better informed and more optimistic than when they arrived.
