About Dr. Ashton Lai, MD
Dr. Ashton Lai, M.D., PhD, is a non-invasive cardiovascular specialist with a focus on the application of advanced cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, cardiac CT, vascular ultrasound, and nuclear stress testing, to advance his patients' health. Thorough and compassionate, he enjoys getting to know his patients and working with them to improve the quality of their lives. Dr. Ashton Lai was born in upstate NY and was raised in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. He attended Duke University for his undergraduate degree, graduating magna cum laude and was awarded the Department of Chemistry Award upon graduation. He received a combined MD-PhD degree from Yale University, completing his PhD thesis under the direction of Dr. Craig Crews.
