It's not the first time my husband needs to go to Stamford Hospital and I have some observations to be made: At the ER, you gotta be lucky to be well cared for by good nurses. Some of them are very attentive, others not and sometimes even rude. I need to compliment the ICU team, specially: Allison, Loli and Magda. They were always extremely attentive, careful, and patient. An example of professionalism. In fact, other great ICU nurses cared for my husband in different occasions, but unfortunately, can't remember their names. There was only one time that a male nurse (not sure about his name) was extremely aggressive , pulling my husband's leg, risking serious injury. I immediately told him to stop. He should be better prepared to care for patients, especially since everyone in the ICU is more vulnerable. If he did this in front of me, imagine what would have been like if I hadn't been there. I also need to mention the front desk people at the main entrance, are very polite and welcoming. So because of him and part of the ER staff (not all) , I can't give 5 stars.

I had the pleasure of delivering both of my babies at Stamford Hospital, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. The nursing staff was incredibly caring and attentive. During my second delivery, things progressed so quickly that I gave birth just 30 minutes after arriving, which meant I couldn't receive an epidural. Unfortunately, my husband missed the moment because he was parking the car with our son, but I felt completely supported by the nurses and the on-call doctor.
The level of care I received post-delivery was exceptional, from the follow-up by the doctors to the attentive food service and regular vital checks. I truly appreciated how the staff respected my choices, whether it was opting for lower doses of pain relief or choosing to formula feed.
My experience with my first delivery was equally positive. The nurses took the time to teach me about postpartum wound care and provided all the necessary supplies. They also guided me through the basics of breastfeeding. On both occasions, they ensured I had extra supplies when I needed them and that both my baby and I passed all necessary checks before we left early.
I recommend Stamford Hospital to anyone considering delivering here!

Greatest Hospital , so far. Nurses are great , assistant to nurses are good , especially, Wilmer on the 8th floor, he was amazing. The Doctors were perfect , professional, and awesome. The guys from Radiology were extraordinary, Dan and Carlos. Everyone at ER especially Magan and young Dr that took care of my mom were fantastic. Molly on 8th floor was terrific. Overall, I appreciate everyone including security guard. The hospital is clean , fully stocked, and looks like a fancy hotel.
Thank you.

It is so sad this hospital continues to decline even after this huge upgrade. I came to the hospital 6/17/2025 for something emergent but not dire. I walked in at 545am and didn't get to leave till 9am I was disgusted. The overnight staff sat me in a negative pressure isolation room with feces in the restroom. Staff trying to wait for there relievers ignored me, packed there bags, sat and used their phones all while I tried to get another room. CALMLY I might add considering. The physician Dr Mark Bell, Charge nurse Katey, The registration woman ( I wish I caught her name) were the only people in 4hrs to assist with kindness and concern for ME. Just gross save your life and go to Greenwich or Norwalk hospital. I could have gotten something wayyyyy worse than what I came in for over neglect and lack of empathy. I forgot to mention the room they changed me to after had a bloody pad in it that I was so disgusted by I had to cover with supplies around the room.

On Friday October 17,2025 I was a patient of Dr. Darlene Negbenebor's at Stamford Hospital. I have been her patient for over 15 years. SHE IS THE BEST, at both what she does & in character!!! I was/am extremely impressed & eternally grateful to the team of nurses, technicians & entire staff that cared for me. A colonoscopy isn't fun but everyone from entry to exit were exceptionally kind, attentive, caring & personable. To all the nurses, especially those who gave me CONCERN,CARE & COMFORT, THANK YOU CAN NEVER SAY ENOUGH!! I RECEIVED THE BEST! TO: Dr. Negbenabor & The Entire Team
YOU ARE THE ABSOLUTE "BEST"!!!
