He has been my Dr for the last 10+ yrs and found him to be thorough and shown concern for my well being.

Patient

Had 3 appointments arranged for my father, a stroke victim with aphasia who has been having some breakthrough seizure activity. The first, I get a message the day before that our appointment booked for 2pm had been bumped up to 9am without my confirming that was doable. I make it work because this appointment took months to book. Inconvenient but fine. Dr. Choi spent 90 seconds with us after the nurse took my father's vitals and told us to come back for a series of tests he clearly had already decided were his plan of action before meeting us. Annoying and inconvenient we couldn't just do that the first appointment but perhaps that's for billing purposes. Fine. We return for the next appointment for an echocardiogram. A PA offers a cursory review of the results because Dr. Choi had taken a meeting during this appointment. Again, frustrating, but ok. The final test is a 2 week take home Zio patch. A few weeks after I sent back the patch, I called about results and was told Dr. Choi would call back because they should be ready. 2 weeks later I call again. He doesn't get back to me until 9 weeks later and dismissively blames slow processing time. All of this was to determine if abnormal cardiac activity was the cause of breakthrough seizures, a pretty urgent matter. Won't be returning.

Patient

I found Dr Choi to be unknowledgeable, confused and even flippant during my appointment. I was most alarmed at his obvious frustration with me for asking questions regarding my own heart. He is not equipped both intellectually and emotionally to have such an important position.
