I cannot say enough great things about this amazing hospital and the staff. Every single person that worked there during my stay was top notch; professional, extremely well informed, kind, respectful. From the ER to the ICU, doctors, nurses, technicians, food service, cleaning crew were amazing! Well equipped and spotless! They saved my life and I am so incredibly thankful for each and every person that works there. Shoutout to ICU nurses Xien and Michaela, Dr. Walker, Dr. Marcus, the EMT's who got me there, and the young man who took food orders! Phenomenal!

I recently had outpatient surgery at the hospital. I had never been before and I was so impressed with the service. The staff was kind and helpful and gave me all the information I needed to get through the surgery. I even received a 'thank you' for coming to the hospital and hope you get better soon card. Post surgery I was helped by a lovely staff member to get dressed. She was a pro, and so kind and empathetic - she was about to retired after many years of service. Keep up the great work!!

Do not go here, My son was admitted to Norwalk Care Center on September 11, 2025 after being transferred from Norwalk Hospital as his case worker Elanor referred us to this location. By the next day (September 12) the facility had no running water, and as of September 14 it still was not restored. I was later told this was because the building has Legionnaires' disease in the water system, so they had to shut it off. Patients were told to bathe with disposable cloths, meals were served on paper plates, and I saw peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in plastic bags being given instead of proper meals. My son requires a Mediterranean-style diet for health reasons, but this was ignored. The phones in patient rooms do not work, so families cannot reach loved ones directly. Calls only go to the nurses' station, but staff are often too busy to answer. During my visit I smelled fecal matter near the reception area, likely due to unflushed toilets. When I raised concerns about hygiene, food safety, and patient dignity, the facility manager was dismissive and told me my son could be moved if I didn't like it. The building itself is very dated -- metal beds, stained chairs, old furniture, and no clear directions for visitors to reach patient rooms. I also noticed the receptionist was busy with personal calls instead of assisting families. I am extremely concerned about the health, safety, and quality of care at this facility. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Norwalk Care Center to anyone seeking proper, compassionate care for their loved ones.

I very much appreciated the staff at the front of the Emergency room as they were very kind to me , but the Doctor.... He was so nasty and rude to me. I think being an emergency room doctor you must have a little bit of compassion! Especially when it has to do with our loved ones. My grandma is 80 years old, and she had an issue last week which involved calling 911, Dr. Capodanno was her Doctor and I was not aware of what exams he had done to her yet. After a few hours of waiting for the results of a Cat Scan and bloodwork he comes in saying that he didn't find anything too "terribly wrong with her". I said great but why did this happen and what would I do if it happens again? His answers were VERY SARCASTIC! Now, my grandma has a condition and I still do not understand completely her situation as we are learning day by day new things about her. I said to him what if it happens again at home and only her aide is with her? He responds with sarcasm, "Well, I wouldn't play Doctor at home, remember we're here 24 hours a day 7 days a week! You'd bring her back!" Then I said but if it happens at home again I would like to know if we need to bring her back or if there is something I can do at home to help her because it has happened last year and the year before, when He says ok fine how about this, " we can admit her for a year and see when the episode happens to her in a year". I was shocked and just said let me have my discharge papers! I was so upset, I did not appreciate the sarcasm in his voice, he was so nasty, we're going through a hard time and I was just asking questions I would think a doctor would know! I hope he would realize how upset I was and I would hope he doesn't speak to other people going through worse situations!

Where do I even start? The place is the epitome of an explosive violation in every aspect. From the unprofessional, rude and inexperienced Support staff, Nurses and security guards and everything in between. They do not intrude themselves, they don't wear uniforms (the registration lady has pajama pants and it looked like she didn't do her hair in 10 days) to the "RNs" yelling at elderly patients and eating sandwiches is the ER while my husband vitals machine was going off. It's dirty, in every possible way you can think off. My spouse came in to the place not by choice but by ambulance due to a traumatic injury in a near by town and I swear to God I feared for his life every single second. I can not believe that a hospital like this actually operates in CT. I pray for all the families and current patients and anyone who doesn't have a choice and lands there. Please please please if you have a loved one there be there voice, advocate for them and GET THEM OUT!!! If you work there I feel horrible for you run away and get better!
