Called Dr. Gage's office on a recommendation from a friend, looking for a second opinion on a surgical procedure. Dr. Gage's office took me the very next day and, expecting a quick overview and opinion, he took over two hours explaining in detail and in an analogy I could understand, why the procedure was essential. He confirmed the cardiac surgeon's findings by performing an echocardiogram of his own. His staff was very helpful and, while he confirmed the cardiac surgeon's opinion, I gained a much better knowledge of its risks and benefits. He's an "old world" physician who takes his time making sure his patients understand their issues.
