Patient
Incredibly disappointed with this practice. I go to the middlesex primary care in Westbrook and they are absolutely fantastic, so when they referred me to this office I thought it would be the same- it was not. I had my first appointment and the doctor was asking me what I wanted for treatment and testing, not telling me what I need to do even though I had been having chronic heart palpitations to the point of multiple ER visits over a 6 month period. He finally decides on ordering a halter monitor. They gave me an appointment to pick it up, I wrote it down at the counter and confirmed it. Showed up to get my monitor on that day at that time just to be told my appointment was two days prior at a different time. Thankfully they fit me in so I can get my monitor. I finish the monitor and turn it in, a week goes by and no call, figured he was busy. Two weeks go by, I say "this is odd but maybe it takes a while to get the results and he's very busy". After almost a month of no contact I called them to ask what was going on and to inform them that I was having worse symptoms and the meds my primary had originally prescribed me were no longer working on the bad days. The staff took a message and said I would hear back from him soon. A week later still no response. I called and left another message with the front desk reiterating my problems and explaining that this was urgent (you'd think a CARDIOLOGY office would understand that without being told). Three days later still nothing so I called before hours and left a voicemail. It's now over three full weeks from my first message and I still have not heard anything from them. I ended up having to go see my primary and have her look up and interpret the results of the monitor and address my medication issue. Staff in the primary care mentioned that this is not the first time they have heard people complain of never hearing back from this cardiology department. Regardless to say, I have requested a referral to a different cardiologist. I highly recommend not wasting your precious or putting your life in the hands of these people that clearly do not care or respect seriousness of their jobs.
