This doctor is an angel sent from heaven!! He is a definite 5/5 from every perspective ! He did my husband's bypass and valve replacement surgery in a timely manner with no complications! He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced! His bedside manner is amazing! He came to check on him in the hospital on his day off! He is wonderful and I have nothing but praise to give to him! THANK YOU AGAIN, we are blessed to have you as a part of his cardiac team!

Dr. Kaplon was the thoracic surgeon at Mercy General in Sacramento. I was a 41 year old healthy male with a bicuspid aortic valve. Kaplon said the valve replacement is a routine procedure and that if I didn't have it I would "be stewing in my own juices" with heart problems. He performed my Aortic Replacement. During the surgery my AV node was damaged resulting in no electric current in my heart. I am 100% AV blocked and reliant on a Pacemaker Defibrillator. I was in a coma for 3 days and endured a year of cardiac rehab. While in the coma, Dr. Kaplon was unable to explain to my wife what happened. Horrible bedside manner and actually avoided contact with my family. 2 months after the procedure I was in congestive heart failure. He was nowhere to be found. I have severe anxiety as a result of the procedure. I am on heart failure medication in my 40s and have horrible PTSD. I could not sue him because the statute of limitations is 1 year. Coincidentally he relocated after that
