Dr. Takeshi Kataoka, MD

Dr. TK is an excellent cardiologist and I don't have anything negative to say about the man. His front desk staff is another matter. I guess I should have known the first time I went to his office and the hospital board president was also in the waiting room. After about 20 minutes he walked up to the front desk and shared his opinion about the length of the wait, loud enough for everyone in the waiting area to hear. Two minutes later he was escorted back to an exam room. He also exited long before I or anyone else even got back to an examination room. Dr. TK was my cardiologist for almost 2 years and the process was the same every time. 45 minute average wait in the waiting room followed by a 20 minute average wait in the examination room. I loved the doctor so much I was willing to put up with the hour long wait, but the consistently poor treatment by front office staff was unwarranted and unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your next cardiologist. There are a multitude of excellent cardiologists in the Denver metro area without an hour long wait and without a poorly trained administrative staff possessing a bad attitude.

I took my father there to be evaluated for atrial fibrillation. He had to have a test done. The tech who did the test was so rude to my dad and myself. She had no consideration for an elderly person with multiple health problems! I called the office manager who promised to have the tech call my dad and apologize, which she never did! I didnt really expect so, since she was so rude! Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend that office to anyone! Everyone gets crappy treatment!

Dr Kataoka called me right back when I had a question about a medication. He discussed the rational for why the medication needed to be continued including pros & cons of stopping or continuing treatment.
