I had a similar experience to others here, I showed up 20 minutes prior to my appointment and completed the virtual check-in but because I was not there 30 minutes prior for check-in they turned me away and told me to reschedule. Her next available was 2 months later. The fact that she turns away patients who clearly are there for an issue with their heart is honestly all the reason why I will not go to her. I understand that I may or may not have an urgent issue, the lack of heart has lost her a patient. When you call to let someone know they need to be there 30 minutes prior to the appointment, you should stress that it must be 30 minutes and not "see you around 11am".
The 30 minutes is not necessary because I went to their other location and saw a different doctor and my check in took 2 minutes.

When I showed up 2 minutes late for my appointment the woman at the front desk scolded me like I was a 3rd grader coming in late from recess by saying "you're late" to which I replied yes 2 minutes, we can reschedule if you like at which point she turned to the doctor standing there with my file looking for approval for which the doctor replied yes it's fine let's just get it done. At this point feeling somewhat humiliated and like I was some kind of imposition on both the receptionist and doctor I said, why don't we just reschedule to which the receptionist replied are you sure and I said yes while turning to leave with no intention of ever coming back. I hope my insurance company doesn't get billed for services not rendered and I'll look for a new cardiologist.

I love my cardiologist Dr Benedict so I'll stay with her. I hated the LONG, COMPLEX all details to protect you--not me-- forms that I was forced to sign before I could see my beloved physician. The medicalese and legalese language was overwhelming to me, an 80 year old.
