Dr. Shreya Shetty

I had put my surgery off because I hadn't found a doctor I felt comfortable with. When I met Dr. Shetty I knew she was the one. She incredibly kind and professional. She explained the procedure in detail in a step by step manner. After my surgery in the hospital she was very attentive and explained how everything went. She also made sure my family members were updated and put them at ease. I would recommend her to everyone. She is the best at what she does.

So I was giving this doctor's number from an ER doctor when I went in a few weeks back. Upon calling I was told I wasn't allowed to make an appointment without my primary care physician calling first. Well needless to say I had a bad experience in the ER so when I was asked to do a survey I was very honest about exactly how well they did not do anything for me. And I also mentioned how the doctors that I was referred to afterwards would not deal with me because it wasn't my primary care physician calling to make the appointment. Or at least making a referral. All the sudden I get a call from Dr shetty's office to make an appointment. So we make the appointment.. well I get here more than 15 minutes early like asked. Then told just to go sit and they call me up in 15 minutes. That's when they were going to check me in. My appointment was at 2:30. I was here at 2:00. They did not call me back ticket registered or anything. Sitting there for almost 40 minutes without having been checked in or do any of the initial paperwork like they wanted me to I just left. What was the point of calling to make the appointment? Obviously you guys don't actually want to see me as a patient so I gave you what you wanted. However I'm complaining here and I'm going to complain to the State Board as well

When I found out that I would need a partial colectomy, I was frightened but I knew it needed to be done. My husband and I went to see Dr. Shetty and she was so kind and explained every step in detail to us. By the time we left we knew I would be in good hands. The surgery went smoothly and I have felt better than I thought possible after having several diverticulitis attacks in the past year. The damaged part was removed and put back together with no problems. I can't recommend her strongly enough.

Dr. Shreya Shetty was horribly unprofessional. She explained the surgery to me saying, we will use banding, "it's like cutting a bulls balls off." When her MA heard her, she tried to explain it differently. I also have a bad left hip and asked that I be able to lay on my right side during the procedure. She was livid when she came in and she said," I'm right handed." I explained about my left hip pain and her response was, "I'm not here to hold your hand." I was shocked at her unprofessional behavior. As angry as she was, she made the procedure scary! I left her office in tears. I will NEVER EVER RECOMMEND HER!! She does NOT represent her peers in that office well.

Dr Shetty is awesome! My surgery went smooth and recovery was faster than i thought possible. Highly recommend her, 100%!
